Deputy Head of Accounting (m/f)
Job description:
- Ensures timely, accurate, and quality control of entered data in the system and signals any irregularities, participates in their resolution. Controls the flow and supervises the posting of accounting documents
- Works in a team and follows corporate policy
- Monitors legislation and changes in the field of accounting regulations and implements appropriate, up-to-date, and necessary changes in the system and accounting records in cooperation with programmers, also checks the accuracy and compliance of supporting documentation with any changes in the law
- Knowledge of regulations on salaries, sick leave, compensations, both based on regular employment and other types of income, regulations on social and pension insurance related to personal income and payments
- Controls and monitors the work of officers in accounting, identifies any deficiencies in their work and corrects them, all with the aim of more efficient sector operation
- In case of absence of any employee in the accounting department, organizes smooth operation of the rest of the team and provides adequate replacement for the absent employee in order to better organize the sector and ensure uninterrupted company operations
- Controls the gross balance on a daily, monthly, and annual basis, identifies and corrects any irregularities
- Monitors the state of analytical accounting cards of suppliers and customers
- Responsible for the correctness and extent of reconciled balances of customers and suppliers
- Controls the book of input and output invoices, accounts, and accounting records for VAT calculation
- Submits and ensures compliance with legal deadlines for submission of M4 forms to the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund
- Prepares and submits necessary documentation and data for the preparation of audit reports
- Communication with the tax authority and reconciliation of records to ensure accurate status
- Controls the correctness of posting and records of fixed assets through the fixed assets book
- Knowledge of IFRS and IAS and their application in work
- Controls the correctness of loan postings
- Performs other tasks as assigned related to job duties if necessary
Required qualifications:
- University degree in economics
- Three to five years of work experience in the same or similar positions
- Knowledge of accounting standards
- Good knowledge of the Office package
- Result-oriented
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Preference for experience in similar positions or auditing
- Readiness for teamwork, communicativeness
