MASTER OF ARCHITECTURE - INTERIOR DESIGNER
IN THE TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT (m/f)
📍Location: Libya
Job Description:
- We are looking for an interior designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing within the team of interior designers in the execution of interior design for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and industrial projects of the company
Responsibilities:
- Design under the lead of the head of the architectural team and head of the internal unit and ensure that the design is compliant with industry codes and regulations
- Creating accurate architectural drawings
- Adhering to schedules and deadlines set by the head of the architectural team and head of the internal unit
- Collaborating with structural engineers, MEP engineers, and other members of the design team to develop efficient and cost-effective interior designs
- Ensuring that the interior design is compliant with current building codes and safety standards
- Reviewing and integrating interior drawings with other disciplines such as structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
- Ensuring timely submission of interior design to meet project schedules and milestones set by the design head
- Supervising the use of design software (e.g. Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for drafting; Sketchup or 3Ds Max for modeling; Lumion, V-Ray, Corona, or Twinmotion software for rendering; familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign, etc.) for developing accurate interior drawings and models
- Collaborating with architecture and interior design teams to ensure the best possible solutions for architectural and design issues
- Assisting in solving complex design challenges by offering practical and innovative solutions
- Attending project meetings to discuss progress, resolve issues within the architectural design unit, as well as within the design unit
- Collaborating with the review unit for faster and more efficient design submission
- Knowledge of electrical lighting design and photometric aspects of lighting design
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Architecture
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as an interior designer for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and industrial projects and other construction projects
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of International Building Code (IBC), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Accessibility Design Standards, LEED sustainability guidelines. Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) or IEC standards
- Proficient in the use of software used in architecture and interior design such as Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Sketchup, 3Ds Max, etc.
- Able to create comprehensive and detailed working drawings for interior layout plans, details, as well as production drawings for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, industrial projects, and other construction projects
