Job Description:

  • Performs reception duties: takes reservations, answers inquiries, provides necessary information by phone, email, or in person, assists guests, greets and accommodates guests, checks on their accommodation, informs them about hotel facilities, conveys information about F&B services and other hotel services, helps arrange additional services for guests (taxi, car rental, excursions, transfers, etc.). Main areas of work and responsibilities:

  • Plans and organizes tasks within his/her scope of work, knows ways of organizing work, standards and procedures in the hotel
  • Prepares for work: Participates in shift handover, familiarizes with tasks, prepares to welcome guests, prepares room cards, informs other departments and superiors with daily reports on guest arrivals and departures, meal services, occupied rooms, checks the daily events book, prepares and executes all mentioned obligations, checks email and promptly responds to inquiries
  • Updates online sales, updates the hotel website, enters extra services and calculates them, prepares proforma invoices, bills, and guest invoices, collects payment in cash or credit card, performs necessary system operations (closing transactions, cash register, fiscal reports, etc.).   • Thoroughly hands over the shift and at the beginning and end of every shift ensures all notes are detailed in the reception diary
  • Maintains high standards of personal hygiene, behaves in a kind and positive manner that promotes the good reputation of the hotel
  • Checks the technical integrity of work equipment and machinery in the work area, immediately reports malfunctions, informs about the repair status, and follows energy saving procedures

Required education, experience, skills, and abilities:

  • III or IV level of professional education (preferably secondary education in the hospitality field)
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a receptionist position
  • Knowledge of English (knowledge of another foreign language is desirable)
  • Dedication to guests and high quality service, communication with guests and colleagues
