CHEF (m/f)
📍Location: Libya
Job Description:
- Processes all types of food, prepares meals, arranges dishes, and assists in serving. Following the orders of superiors, arranges meals and assists in food service at the buffet/a la carte or with delivery/catering
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely and quality completion of work tasks
- Monitoring and adherence to all hotel standards, procedures, and rules of conduct
- Working in coordination with colleagues under the orders of the head chef/shift manager
- Maintaining hygiene of the workspace and kitchen equipment while adhering to defined cleaning and maintenance procedures
- Ensuring the rational use of energy, consumables, and time; proper and responsible use of kitchen inventory
- Applying and adhering to rules related to personal hygiene and conduct of staff and visitors in the kitchen
- Receiving goods under supervision and storing them according to established procedures
- Following kitchen opening/closing procedures
- Maintaining the freshness of food and expiration dates in storage areas and refrigeration units in accordance with HACCP standards
- Processing necessary ingredients for meal preparation
- Actively participating in food preparation, assisting in preparing meals to order and menu, as well as in serving and arranging dishes
- Reporting faults and breakages to the department head immediately
- Performing all other tasks as instructed by superiors
- Behaving in accordance with the values and standards of the hotel
Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- III or IV degree of professional education (preferably secondary education in hospitality)
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in similar roles
- Teamwork
- Responsibility, efficiency, agility, and speed in work
- Knowledge of English language

- 6-month contract with possibility of extension
- Two-week paid leave during the contract

- Working hours: 6 days a week, 8 hours a day
