Hostess (m/f)

📍Location: Libya

Sector: Food and Beverage Sector

Reports to: Restaurant Manager

General job description:

• Greets and establishes a warm connection with guests to make them feel comfortable. Welcomes and seats guests at their place or event they have come to; has necessary information about guests (room number, type of service they are using); keeps a record of the number of guests and number of meals served; assists in the regular daily operations in the restaurant

Key areas of work and responsibilities:

• Timely and quality execution of tasks and duties within their area of work
• Respect all pre-established work procedures and standards in business operations
• Regular and prompt communication with the reception in order to obtain accurate guest data
• Acceptance and organization of reservations in the restaurant/on the beach and precise record of guests and types of services reserved/paid for
• Preparation of daily and monthly reports on the number of guests who used restaurant services, types of guests (boarders, non-boarders, etc.), and types of services they used (breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffet service, a la carte service)
• Printing and designing menus for guests (buffet menus, a la carte menus, menus for organized events)
• Thorough knowledge of the entire food and beverage offer
• Greeting, seating guests, and farewell
• Adequately sharing necessary information with both guests and the restaurant team
• Communication with guests to obtain feedback on the quality of service provided in the restaurant
• Maintaining a guest book and complaint book
• Ensuring personal hygiene and pleasant appearance
• Behaving courteously and respectfully towards guests
• Behaving in line with company values, representing an example and role model to others
• Executing work duties delegated by the Restaurant Manager

Skills and abilities:

• Commitment to guests and high-quality service
• Knowledge of English language (knowledge of another foreign language is desirable)
• Tactfulness, kindness, dexterity, reliability, and ability to communicate easily with guests and colleagues
• Computer skills
