Human Resources Manager - Construction Company (m/f)

Job Description:
- We are looking for an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR efforts in a dynamic construction environment. This role will focus on hiring local talent, as well as managing relationships with service providers for foreign employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices in the construction industry and a deep understanding of local labor laws and international hiring processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing an effective hiring strategy to find local talent according to project needs
- Collaborating with service providers to ensure a smooth hiring process for foreign workers, overseeing contracts, and compliance
- Conducting thorough research on open positions, sorting and prioritizing them based on department needs and project deadlines
- Creating clear and compelling job descriptions that accurately reflect role requirements and responsibilities
- Communicating with department heads regarding open positions, hiring procedures, and timelines
- Fostering a positive workplace culture that promotes engagement and retention among local and foreign employees
- Addressing employee inquiries and concerns, mediating disputes, and facilitating resolution processes as needed
- Implementing performance evaluation systems tailored to the construction environment, providing guidance to managers for assessing employee performance
- Supporting continuous improvement through training and development initiatives
- Identifying training needs specific to the construction industry, including safety and compliance training, and coordinating effective programs
- Developing onboarding programs for new employees, including orientations for foreign employees regarding company policy and local practices
- Maintaining up-to-date employee records, ensuring all documentation complies with regulatory requirements
- Overseeing compensation and benefits program structures for local and foreign employees
- Collaborating with management to initiate initiatives that enhance workforce planning and development
- Promoting diversity and inclusion strategies in the workforce, recognizing the unique contributions of local and foreign employees
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or related field, HR certification preferred
- 5+ years of HR experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to HR challenges
- Knowledge of HR software and Microsoft Office suite
Skills and Abilities:
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Basic knowledge of Arabic language (reading and understanding) would be considered a plus
