NIGHT RECEPTIONIST (m/f)

Job Description:

  • Performs work activities related to front desk operations: takes reservations, responds to inquiries, provides necessary information via phone, email, or in person, assists guests, welcomes and accommodates guests, checks on their accommodation status, introduces them to hotel amenities, informs them about F&B services and other services provided by the hotel, helps arrange additional services for guests (taxis, car rentals, tours, transfers, etc.), informs guests about local events and activities. Communicates with other departments and conveys necessary information related to service quality and business efficiency. Registers and checks out guests in accordance with current standards and procedures

Key Areas of Work and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and organizes tasks within their work scope, knows the organization of work, standards, and procedures in the hotel
  • Prepares for work: Participates in shift handover, familiarizes with tasks, prepares to welcome guests, prepares room cards, familiarizes with other departments and supervisors through daily reports on guest arrivals and departures, meal plans, room occupancy, checks the daily events log, prepares and executes all listed duties, checks email and promptly responds to inquiries
  • Updates online sales, updates the hotel's website, enters and calculates extra services, prepares pro forma invoices, bills, and invoices for guests, collects payment in cash or credit card, performs necessary system operations (closing transactions, cash register, fiscal reports, etc.). Responsible for cash balance in the cash register in accordance with hotel procedures

  • Thoroughly hands over the shift and at the beginning and end of each shift, verifies that all notes are detailed in the reception log
  • Maintains high standards of personal hygiene, behaves in a courteous and positive manner that promotes the hotel's good reputation
  • Checks the technical functioning of equipment and devices in the workspace, reports malfunctions immediately, informs about repair status, and follows energy-saving procedures

Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • III or IV level of professional education (preferably vocational school education in the hospitality industry)
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a receptionist
  • Knowledge of English language (additional foreign language is desirable)
  • Commitment to guests and high-quality service, communication with guests and colleagues
