Reports to: Head Waiter

General Job Description:

Prepares the restaurant/bar for service, serves guests with food and drinks, maintains hygiene of work area and equipment, carries out tasks delegated by superiors, and collaborates with colleagues in the execution of all food and beverage service operations

Key Areas of Work and Responsibilities:

Timely and quality execution of tasks in designated work area
Material and financial responsibility in the workplace
Compliance with prescribed work procedures, business standards, and code of conduct
Preparation of work area and equipment, and inventory management of the restaurant
Knowledge of menu items, food, and beverage list; checking daily specials, menu, and drinks list
Greeting and seating guests
Providing recommendations and suggestions to guests in selection of drinks and food
Taking food and beverage orders and serving guests
Billing guests for services provided according to hotel payment policy and prices
Bidding farewell to guests
Cleaning and organizing work area and equipment after guests leave
Personal hygiene and appearance upkeep
Courteous and polite behavior towards guests
Application of health and safety measures at work
Accountable for quality of service provided
Ensuring compliance with health and sanitation standards
Rational use of energy, materials, and time
Collaborating with colleagues
Assisting with banquet operations, events, and ceremonies
Performing duties delegated by head waiter and restaurant manager
